The Veterinary Assistant Professional is for the animal lovers of the world!  The Vet Assistant performs a variety of duties including performing laboratory work, administering medications, assisting the Veterinarian with examinations and procedures, sterilize surgical instruments, monitor vital signs, provide education and guidance to the pet owners, and care for the animals.  Although many Veterinary Assistants work in small-animal offices, our program offers large animal education too thereby expanding  job opportunities!


Medical Career & Technical College is recognized as an approved educational institution with American Allied Health and a recognized testing site for graduates of the Veterinary Assistant program to sit for examination as a Certified Veterinary Assistant

Only individuals who graduate from a recognized academic program such as ours can sit for the national certification examination and be acknowledged as a Certified Veterinary Assistant.

Students will also learn how to handle pet emergencies through Pet Emergency Education, they are internationally recognized for Pet CPR, First Aid and Emergency Training and Certification.
