Massage Therapists employ a variety of knowledge and skills to provide relaxation, comfort, and promote healing using a variety of techniques and modalities for clients in a variety of settings including spas, cruise lines, sports medicine, chiropractor offices, hospitals including labor and delivery, oncology, cardiac, and orthopedic units, health & fitness facilities, or as your own business entrepreneur! According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for massage therapists is expected to increase by 22% nationally through 2028; making it one of the fastest-growing professions, therefore adding medical modalities further increases marketability!
The Medical Career & Technical College Medical Massage Therapy Program is approved by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for licensure through the MBLEx (Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam) and credentialed as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).
